During these unprecedented times of the COVID-19 Pandemic high school athletes here at MASCO High School have had to think outside the box for our fundraising efforts. Historically, friends, families, community, and businesses have generously supported Booster Clubs. Current COVID pandemic protocols and safety guidelines prohibit spectators inside of the hockey rinks at the high school level. ‘In-rink’ 50/50 raffles, Program book sales with paid for advertising, sponsors, and supporters, ticket sales (at the gate), are all now a thing of the past; for now.
Sophia Grutti supporting her team; getting it done no matter what it takes
Booster support and fundraising, especially at our Public High School, is imperative to the continued success and safety of our student athletes. The MASCO High School Girls Booster Club provides financial support for players present and future, in providing athletic gear, athletic apparel, safety equipment (including facial masks, personal water bottles, mouth guards, etc.), signage and banners, senior night celebrations, senior gifts to all of the team members, awards and trophies, additional practice ice (the sheets), work-out gear, etc.. Since early March 2020, because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, ‘off-ice’ team building activities such as annual banquets, pizza and pasta parties, trips to collegiate and professional hockey games, any socializing, or close contact is prohibited. Today, more than ever, in a hybrid/virtual school year, the girls of present and future need our support, the community.
We launched an amazing, COVID safe, virtual fundraising event that ran through February 15, 2021. Raffle tickets were drawn and winners (acknowledged below) were announced via zoom live-stream on Monday 2/15/2021 at 8:00PM.
100% of the fundraising proceeds will go towards the players of today and future only.
With a heartfelt THANK YOU to all who donated and contributed, in so many ways, to our fundraiser. Congratulations to all of the winners!!
